  • SHOW OPENER : A Show Opener is the first model to walk the runway during a fashion show or segment. This role is crucial as it sets the tone and visual narrative for the designer’s collection or the event’s theme.

  • SHOW STOPPER : Fashion Show Highlight - A special model (often a celebrity or top model) who walks last and wears the most iconic or elaborate outfit in the collection.

GUIDELINES & ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

FOR, MR / MISS / MRS NATIONAL GLAM :

  • Based on categories participant can be married, single, divorced, with or without children

  • Age - 17 plus to 65 years on the contest date and produce the certificate as age proof.
    MISTER (MR.)(Age 17 plus - 65 years) | MISTRESS (MRS)(Age 18 - 55 years)  |  MISS (Age 17 - 55 years)

  • Nationality - must be INDIAN

  • Language – Any (No Bar)

  • Height should be atleast 5.4 feet and there will be limitation in weight criteria

  • Upload your photos : Close Up, Mid Shot and Full Length in the registration form – can be general pictures that you already have.

  • The applicant once short listed cannot be a part of any other commercial contract / Event.

 

FOR, MISS / MRS NATIONAL GLAM PLUS SIZE :

  • Participant Marital status - Can be married, single, divorced, with or without children

  • Age - 21 to 55 years as per criteria on the contest date and produce the certificate as age proof.

  • Nationality - must be INDIAN

  • Language – Any (No Bar)

  • Height – Height should be atleast 5.4 feet.

  • Weight – 5 Kgs above your normal weight line

  • Upload your photos: Close Up, Mid Shot and Full Length in the registration form – can be general pictures that you already have.

  • The applicant once short listed cannot be a part of any other commercial contract / Event.

 

NATIONAL GLAM :
KIDS (Age 4 - 8 years) | JUNIOR (Age 8 plus - 17 years) 

  • These titles are on a first come, first selection bases and produce the certificate as age proof.
    w Nationality - must be INDIAN

  • Language – Any (No Bar)

  • There is no height and weight criteria

  • Upload your photos: Close Up, Mid Shot and Full Length in the registration form – can be general pictures that you already have.

  • The applicant once short listed cannot be a part of any other commercial contract/Event.

  • Candidates with exception skills will be provided opportunities with casting agencies. Juniors may be contacted by notable brands, eminent designers and fashion houses for brand endorsements, advertisements or television commercials and more.

Note:

  • Things to keep ready before initiating the application process : Aadhar Card or any other valid ID Card, 3 Photographs (Close Up, Mid Shot and Full Length) - Format: JPG, JPEG and PNG | Max Size: 5 MB

 

  • Participants not only exhibit good character but also have good intentions and no history of criminal conduct or fraudulent behaviour.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

MR / MISS / MRS BENGAL / PLUS SIZE BENGAL / JUNIOR BENGAL
These points contestant need to prepare for :

  • Introduction - Way of speaking

  • Physical appearance (Height, Weight, Figure etc.)

  • Ramp walk – Walking Style

  • ​Dressing sense – Way of wearing a dress etc

  • Question could be put up by the judges on different topics. 
     (Like - Hobbies, Social life, General knowledge, Current affairs etc.)

SELECTION PROCESS
Selection will be in total 5 Phases :
1st Phase - Ramp walk for Physical Appearance
2nd Phase - Introduction - Way of speaking
3rd Phase - Ramp walk and Dressing Sense - Traditional & Western Round
4th Phase - Talent Round for Juniors / Question-Answer Session for others
5th Concluding Phase - Result by Jury
 

NOTE :  After the 3rd Phase, only the Top 7 contestants from each senior category will go to the 4th Phase. 
All Junior and Kids category contestants will proceed directly to the 4th Phase without elimination.

  • The National Glam Pageant 2025 offers a glamorous platform for participants of all age groups, including juniors, men, women, plus-size participants, and married women. It focuses not only on beauty but also on confidence, talent, social personality, and empowerment. Participants will have celebrity grooming, poster shoots, fashion walks, and chances to work with casting agencies, brands, and designers.

  • You need to fill out the registration form with your basic details and upload 3 photographs (Close-up, Mid-shot, Full-length).
    Once selected, you will pay the finalist fee Rs. 3,500.00 for juniors (upto 17 years) & Rs. 5,000.00 for seniors (17 + years & above) including proper grooming for 3 days,, refreshment, outfit support, makeup support, etc.

  • National Glam Pageant 2025 is happening on 26th July 2025 at Salt Lake, Kolkata. It includes Beauty Contest, Fashion Walk, Ramp with Celebrities, Poster Shoot, Press Interviews, and Celebrity Grooming.

  • After submission, your profile will be reviewed. If shortlisted, you will proceed to the next selection phases involving admission, interviews, workshop, grooming session, etc.

  • There is no fixed number mentioned, but the selection is competitive, involving several phases where contestants are filtered based on personality, appearance, ramp walk, and Q&A rounds.

  • If you do not clear, you can still participate after proper grooming. Remember, perfection is more important.

  • Yes, once selected, you will pay the finalist fee Rs. 3,500.00 for juniors (upto 17 years) & Rs. 5,000.00 for seniors (17 + years & above) including proper grooming for 3 days,, refreshment, outfit support, makeup support, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The judges look for confidence, talent, communication skills, creativity, personality, and how well you carry yourself, both on and off stage. Beauty is important, but personality is key.

  • Yes, apart from ramp walk and Q&A, candidates may be judged based on special talents during the grooming or final event (acting, dancing, speech, etc.)

  • No, you do not need to win a preliminary pageant. Anyone who fulfills the eligibility criteria and clears the selection phases can directly participate.

  • Both are important, but intelligence, confidence, and personality play a more decisive role. Judges are looking for someone who can represent Bengal Glam with pride and elegance, beyond just looks.

  • Yes, there is no restriction. You can participate again in the next editions of the pageant.
